This is the only public golf course on the Costa del Sol. Situated close to Almenara in the Guadiaro area it is fast becoming another favourite with our visiting and resident golfers. The original back can be a real challenge with a tough finish especially if the wind is off the sea.
La Canada was for many years just a 9 hole course, the first nine designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1982. The new nine was designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 2001. It has lovely views across the Rio Guadiaro to the Mediterranean and Valderrama This golf course is not hilly, so if you enjoy golf without a buggy this is a good one to try.
