Excellent use of natural features make this recently opened course a very attractive but challenging option. With breathtaking views of the Mijas mountains and close to the coast it is set on an old avocado farm. Surrounded by organge groves and with a creek running through the course it is quite spectacular with large greens and wide fairways. The fourth, par-5, hole is particularly interesting and the par-4 thirteenth is deceptive as the tee shot is uphill. Santana Golf is technically speaking a demanding course as the unique design of each hole is intended to give a continuous challenge, even for the more experienced player. The many water hazards and layout of the greens, well protected by greenside bunkers, will challenge every golfer.
